Training & Development ServicesLara Boyd is experienced in offering a range of training services from development and delivery through to licensing of customised training programmes and is also experienced in the development of assessment and training materials for Scottish Qualifications Authority accredited units. Currently working with the NHS, various healthy living initiatives, Integrated Child Services, commercial care companies and care charities, Lara also welcomes enquiries on a range of different topics from the hospitality and retail industries. Lara is a qualified trainer and assessor working mainly but not exclusively in the field of Health Promotion. She is an engaging public speaker and experienced trainer who works with both groups and individuals, who would like to see more people reap the health benefits of simply enjoying good food. Lara also has a particular interest in linking our British food producers with the general public, the hospitality industry and public sector catering as access to good food is one of the biggest barriers to eating well. Lara is a BA graduate of Glasgow Caledonian University having first studied Hotel, Catering and Institutional Management and Wines & Spirits at the Glasgow College of Food Technology. Lara is currently studying towards an MSc in Nutritional Therapy through Middlesex University and the Centre for Nutrition Education, a fully accredited qualification and is a student member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy. Lara also holds qualifications from the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland and the SQA Certificate in Training Practice and SQA D32 Assess Candidate Performance In addition to First Foods Fast Lara is also the author of:
